Feng Shui & Paht Chee
Feng Shui consultation
Rooms have an effect. Feng Shui shows how that works and what you can concretely change so that your home or workplace carries you instead of slowing you down.
Move Qi,
Move easy …
with Feng Shui
The place where everything happens
We work on our sleep, our food, our thoughts, and overlook the room in which all of it takes place. Yet the room has its say: in how easily we fall asleep, how well we concentrate, how gladly we come home.
Feng Shui, literally „wind and water“, is the Chinese study of how our surroundings affect us. It describes how light, order, colour, form, orientation and the arrangement of furniture shape our experience. Much of it can also be explained in terms of perception psychology, the effect stays the same.
My consultations are not about dogma, and not about rebuilding your home. They are about concrete, affordable changes that make a noticeable difference.
The Bagua maps nine areas of life onto a home. It is a map, not a law, and a good starting point for a conversation about where things are stuck.
The first look
Light, air and clear paths
Before we get to compass directions and elements, we deal with the obvious. How much daylight arrives? Where does the eye stumble? Which corner has been avoided for months, and why?
Surprisingly often the greatest effect lies in the simplest things: a piece of furniture turned, a lamp moved, a surface cleared. Only then is it worth looking at the finer levels.
Where it helps
Areas where a consultation achieves the most
Home & living room
The room where you are meant to settle. We look at pathways, sight lines, lighting and at what is simply too much, tidiness is half the work.
Bedroom & sleep
Bed position, mirrors, electronics, colours, doors behind you: sleep is where Feng Shui usually shows results fastest, and most of it can be done in an afternoon.
Home office
Concentration is partly a matter of where you sit. We arrange your workplace so that focus comes more easily and the working day can actually end.
Practice & shop
How does your reception area feel? Commercial rooms send signals constantly: we make sure they are the right ones.
Moving house
The best moment for Feng Shui is before you furnish. I am glad to look at floor plans and furniture layouts with you beforehand.
Alongside counselling
Feng Shui does not replace psychological counselling, but it supports it. Together the two often work faster than either on its own.
How it works
A Feng Shui consultation, step by step
First conversation
Free and without obligation: what is this about, which room, what is the goal? Photos or a floor plan are welcome.
Measuring on site
I come to you and measure position and orientation. Without those measurements a sound analysis is not possible. While there I listen to how you use the space.
Recommendations
You receive a clear summary: what can be done immediately, what makes sense later, each with a reason, not just an assertion.
Putting it into practice
On request I accompany the changes and look at the result together with you again after a few weeks.
In addition
Paht Chee, reading your birth chart
Feng Shui looks at space. Paht Chee, also known as BaZi or the „Four Pillars of Destiny“, looks at time: at the year, month, day and hour of your birth. From these four pillars comes a personal chart of eight characters that speaks about your dispositions and about the phases of your life.
From it I read which elements are strong in you and which are weak, where your natural strengths lie, and in which periods certain themes come more easily or less so. Combined with the room analysis this gives a rounded picture: where you live and when things are due.
Why people ask for a reading
- Taking stock: where am I, what is currently due?
- Career decisions and timing
- Understanding recurring patterns
- As a basis for the Feng Shui recommendations at home
Date of birth, place of birth and as precise a time of birth as possible. A reading is possible without the time, but less exact, the hour is one of the four pillars.
Frequent questions
Feng Shui, briefly explained
Do I have to buy all new furniture?
No. Most recommendations concern arrangement, order, light and colour, things that cost nothing or very little. If a purchase really makes sense I will say so, but it is never the starting point.
How long does a consultation take?
Allow about two hours for a single room and half a day for a whole flat. The initial conversation takes fifteen to twenty minutes and is free.
Does it work online?
The free first conversation does. The consultation itself does not: I need to take measurements on site to determine position and orientation, and a floor plan alone is not enough for that. Houses with several floors mean more work, which is reflected in the price.
What is the difference between Feng Shui and Paht Chee?
Feng Shui works with space, Paht Chee with time. One puts your surroundings in order, the other describes your personal dispositions and life phases. Each can be booked on its own, together they complement each other well.
Do I have to believe in Feng Shui for it to work?
No. A tidy, well-lit room with a bed that does not face the door has its effect regardless of your worldview. You are welcome to stay sceptical: simply try it out.
What does a consultation cost?
Prices are quoted on request, because scope, rooms and travel vary a great deal. After the free initial conversation you receive a fixed price: with no hidden extras.
Free & without obligation
Should your home start working for you again?
Send me a floor plan or a few photos, the first conversation costs nothing.
